I started music late in life at 22 years old. I heard Courtney Pine playing ‘Round Midnight, acapella, and felt that I had found my musical calling. Thirty Four years later, my playing has evolved and my musical influences have broadened. Courtney Pine still holds a deep influence on my ear and the playing I most want to emulate.
